September Goals

September Goals

Where on earth did August disappear to? In fact, where has this summer gone? August for me was lovely as it was filled with lots of nice days out as well as working a lot which meant when payday rolled around, I could afford to treat myself to a MacBook Air ready for starting my third year of University in a couple of weeks. September is probably my favourite month of the year as it is my birthday month and this year especially is more exciting as I am turning 21 this month and having a huge party with all my friends and family to celebrate that! I also love that with the month of September, comes Autumn, which means cosy clothes, dark lipsticks and those beloved pumpkin spiced lattes! This month I also am moving back to University to start my third year of my Psychology degree. I have set myself various resolutions for this month in particular as there seems to be so much going on, so I am determined to make this month memorable. In order to keep track of my progress and reflect upon my goals, I thought I would share with you my goals for September.
Make my Uni room feel homely
This is my third time of moving into a uni flat and lets face it, they aren't always the cutest and homeliest of places. This year I really want to try make my uni room feel welcoming and cosy. After the previous two years of buying all the pots and pans and immediate bedroom essentials/decorations, I have more money this year to spend on other things like cosy blankets and fairy lights. I am also moving in a week before my uni lectures begin, so that means that I have more time on my hands before uni starts, to decorate my room and set it all up before its covered in piles of lecture notes.
Eat better
From the offset, I want to try and eat a lot healthier than I normally do at uni, especially during freshers. I want to get better at cooking myself meals from scratch which is why I bought myself some simple cookery books recently. A healthier diet really makes the world of difference to my mood, so I can't wait to feel more energised and healthier.

Improve with my photography
I've never been a great photographer especially when it comes to blog and Instagram pictures and I never feel 100% happy with the pictures that I take for them, but I'd like to change that. I've recently bought a few flatly props which I hope will improve on the look of my pictures and make my content better.

This year my house is literally opposite the gym so I have no excuses but to work out as much as I can. Ideally, the goal I have in my mind is to work out at least three times a week. With the gym being to close to my house, I have the convenience and option of nipping to the gym before lectures to get a quick workout in.
