L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask

L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask
Hi everyone!

You may or may not have seen my post last month on the 'L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask' (see here). As I mentioned in that post, I really wanted to try the 'glow' mask from the Pure Clay range, as it promises to exfoliate and brighten the skin, resulting in a more clarified complexion. For an overall review of the L'Oréal product range, I suggest that you click the link and read that blog post. There are three masks in the 'Pure Clay' collection that cater for different skin concerns: 'Purity' for oily skin; 'Detox' for normal skin and 'Glow' for dull skin. I don't think that I would get much use out of the 'Purity' mask, purely because I don't have oily skin.

If you saw my skincare routine post back in April (see here), you'd know that I'm trying to make a conscious effort to take better care of my skin. I have always really enjoyed using face masks but with the release of the L'Oreal Pure Clay range, I have been using them more often.

The 'glow' face mask contains a red algae extract which is known for its brightening properties. The face mask contains beads which have a gritty texture, yet it is creamy in texture which exfoliates the skin without drying it out. The beaded, creamy texture illuminates tone by exfoliating the skin's surface without drying it out. The colour of the face masks is a burnt orange shade on the skin, as opposed to the Detox mask which is charcoal in colour. Also, the glow mask doesn't feel as tight on the skin as the detox mask does.

I love using both these face masks on separate days or with one another by 'multi-masking'. I'll either use the detox mask one night to remove any impurities and replenish my skin, and then a day later using the glow mask to brighten and clarify my skin. Another option that I like to use is to apply the detox mask to areas prone to breakouts, such as on my nose and forehead, and the glow mask on my cheeks and sides of my face.

Let me know what you think of the L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks if you've tried any!
