Testing Bourjois Products

3 Bourjois Products You Need To Try

Hi everyone, so a few weeks ago I popped in my local Boots for a new foundation and the 'Bourjois Healthy Mix Liquid Foundation' instantly caught my eye due to the advertisement of 'healthy' looking skin with the 3 added vitamins in the foundation. As my skin's being going a bit crazy recently due to the stress of exams (I'm presuming) the sound of a healthy foundation really appealed to me. All Bourjois products were on a 3 for 2 offer, and as I am obsessed with the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks from Bourjois, and I needed a new primer, this was perfect for me! I love all 3 of these products so much, especially the foundation!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Liquid Foundation: No52-Vanilla

As a avid lover of the 'Rimmel Wake Me Up' foundation, I was not expecting to find a replacement for that anytime soon, yet this foundation has thoroughly exceed my expectations, so much so that I reach for this majority of the time, over all my other foundations. This foundation just makes my skin look flawless, yet it feels so lightweight and comfortable on the skin. The foundation is moisturising, but it doesn't leave me with as much of a dewy finish as the 'Rimmel Wake Me Up' one does. I would say this foundation has a medium coverage, yet it definitely is buildable. It is also really easy to apply and blend out. I prefer to use it more for everyday use though, rather than for evening wear. It states that it lasts 16 hours on the skin; yet tried and tested with various powders, this definitely doesn't last 16 hours. I would say it lasts more like 6 hours. Also, this foundation doesn't contain any SPF which I don't like.. why can't every foundation contain SPF? This shade (No52-Vanilla) matches my skin perfectly which is great as it's so hard to find a pale foundation- I am in definite need for some sun.

Bourjois Flower Perfection Primer

I must admit, I'm not an expert with primers. As long as it keeps my makeup on all day and doesn't crease it, it gets a thumbs up from me! I do love my 'Benefit Porefessional' primer and I think that still remains as my favourite primer, but I do find this primer to be really lovely to use too. It honestly does blurs all imperfections and gives my skin an airbrushed effect, as it claims to, which I find really impressive. The texture of this product feels quite buttery and soft, which is lovely as it glides onto the skin. I think this primer will be perfect for summer too, as it provides a matte finish, which is especially good for those with oily skin in fact. I haven't particularly noticed a massive difference in terms of the staying power of my makeup when wearing this primer, which is a shame, yet in combination with another primer perhaps, it could provide the perfect combo! I also love the packaging of this product, it's so dinky and pretty! However, I wish the product was packaged in a tube rather than the plastic pot with a screw off lid, to avoid contamination of the product. I am enjoying using this primer, but I don't think I would repurchase it.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick in 10- Don't Pink Of It!

A side from M.A.C, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks have to be my favourite range of lipsticks! The formula of them is so amazing. They give a matte finish, yet they aren't drying at all, like most matte lipsticks, and the staying power of these is insane! I have a few of these already, so with the offer being 3 for 2, the chance of getting another one of these was too hard to resist. I did in fact choose a slightly different shade for me (I have a bad reputation for only wearing dark pinky/red shades), as I chose the shade '10- Don't Pink Of It!' (love the name!) which is more of a light pink shade, so it's perfect for spring and summer!
