New Additions: M.A.C

Hi everyone!

For my 20th birthday, I was lucky enough to receive a M.A.C Cosmetics gift card, so as you can imagine I was thrilled! I went to the M.A.C store in Liverpool and the staff there were extremely helpful and even tested some of the products on me beforehand, which meant my makeup loved fab on my birthday!!
So today, I thought I would share with you what I bought.

M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish- Soft & Gentle

I fell in love with this highlighter as soon as I saw it!
I'd heard a lot of good reviews about this highlighter in particular and loved how it looked on my skin when the staff applied it for me. It noticed straight away how amazing this pigmentation of this product is and how is made my skin look so healthy and luminous. This also lasted on my skin throughout the whole day and my family continued to comment on how lovely it looked.
Since purchasing this product, I have been reaching for it a lot as it glides onto my skin without removing any of my foundation and I love how long-lasting this is! I use a duo-fibre fan brush to apply this onto my cheekbones, cupids bow and down the centre of my nose, and then I use a smaller, more dense brush to apply this lightly on my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eye. This was £24 for 10g but you only need a small amount so hopefully this should last me a long time!

M.A.C Prep + Prime Fix+

I bought my second bottle of this as I literally use it all the time! On the M.A.C website this is described as "A lightweight mist of water packed with vitamins and minerals, infused with a blend of green tea, chamomile and cucumber to gently soothe and refresh the skin". This definitely soothes and refreshes and also hydrates my skin, making it the perfect primer water for makeup. This is such a versatile, multi-use product. I use it to set my makeup after I have applied it and I also spray this onto my highlighter and eyeshadow brushes as it helps to intensify the colour pay-off. I love how
This was £17.50 and to me, its worth every penny!

I have wanted 'Velvet Teddy' for what seems like a lifetime, yet every time I think to treat myself to it, it's always out of stock! However all is well in the world as I finally now own it, and trust me, it was worth the wait! Velvet Teddy is a matte brown-toned nude, which makes it really wearable and perfect for Autumn!
Brave was another M.A.C lipstick that's been on my radar for quite some time now. It's less hyped than Velvet Teddy but it's more wearable in my opinion. It's subtle enough for everyday wear but it also can be built up darker to wear on a night out. This lipstick has a satin finish so again it's more wearable than Velvet Teddy as it feels weightless and more comfortable on the lips. I'm THE worst at describing colours, as many of you probably know that by now, but I would say Brave is a deep, dusty pink nude.

W7 Lightly Toasted Eyeshadow Palette Review

For what feels like the longest time, I have wanted the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette, but I just can't bring myself to justify it, seeing as I am student. So when I saw the 'W7 Lightly Toasted' eyeshadow palette, which is known to be a dupe for the Naked 1 palette, I knew I had to get it! I got this from 'Urban Beauty Stores' in Warrington, England, but this is also available on Amazon and other various online stores for around £5/£6. I already own the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, but the Naked 1 just looks a lot easier to wear on a more everyday basis.
W7: Lightly Toasted Eyeshadow Palette
This palette contains 12 eyeshadows which are largely neutral colours. It contains a mix of shimmer and matte shades, which makes this palette really versatile. Some of the colours can be quite dusty and can cause a lot of fallout, so I usually will apply my eyeshadow with this palette, before doing my foundation.

I love that all the colours are named: Teddy Bear, Wonderland, Cracker, Happy, Lady Luck, Twister, Di Di, Delilah, Magic, It’s a Dream, Up in Smoke and Dawn.

A chocolate brown coloured tin with cream, raised lettering. On the reverse side is the names of the shadows and also the ingredients. It contains 12 eyeshadows and a brush. The packaging feels sturdy but not heavy. Ideally, I would of liked this palette to come with a mirror but considering how cheap this is, I cant complain.
