Corfu, Greece

Mareblue Beach Resort Pool

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of posts this month- I have been swamped in past papers and revision notes as I’ve been doing my exams. I finished my first year of university last Friday and then jetted off to Corfu, in Greece, on Sunday morning. Needless to say, it was very stressful packing up my uni room, unpacking, and then packing up again to go on holiday, in the space of just over 24 hours! But it was so worth it. Now I'm sat writing this post in the garden with the sun blazing down on me. I've definitely brought the weather home with me!

I went to Corfu with my mum to unwind and relax and spend some quality time alone with just my mum. We stayed for 5 days, all-inclusive, at Mareblue beach resort in St.Spyridon.

The sunset was breath-taking every single evening, and we were told our hotel had the best view of the sunset in all of Greece!

On one of the days, we went on an excursion by boat to Corfu Town. Corfu town was beautiful and reminded me a lot of Italy, with it’s cobbled streets and colourful buildings with shutters on the windows. On the way back, the boat stopped off and we all went for a swim in the sea!

After being around the pool most days, we decided to head down to the beach. It was 4 euros each to use the sunbeds at the beach but it was well worth it.
It was quite breezy but that was nice as the sun wasn't too hot and uncomfortable then. As you can see by the photos, the view was stunning.

I had the best time in Corfu and the weather was amazing every day!
I now look like a lobster as I got very very burnt! I'm already starting to peel but I feel so much better now having a tan!

The Perfect Nude Lip

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt
I have finally stepped outside of my red/berry lipstick comfort zone!
I have been on the hunt for a 'nude' lipstick for some time now and I decided to try one of the NYX Cosmetics Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks as I heard a lot of great things about them and wanted to try them out for myself. I picked up mine from Boots for £6.50.
NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt

I am in love with the shade I picked up called 'Bedtime Flirt'. I was instantly drawn to this one as soon as I heard about them and I have been after it ever since.  As you've probably noticed from my previous posts, I'm not the best at describing the colours and shades of products but I would attempt to describe this shade as a 'browny pink'! I love how this doesn't completely wash me out, which has always been my main concern when it comes to nude lip products.
This liquid lipstick is packaged like a lip-gloss and it comes with a long and thin doe foot applicator. It has a thin, mouse-like consistency and is highly pigmented. It is very smooth to apply, however it does takes a few seconds to dry completely matte on my lips. As it dries completely matte on the lips, it highlights the cracks on your lips. I recommend exfoliating your lips before applying this and also applying some lip balm beforehand.
